Scholar

Scholars are Magi who have immense knowledge of the magical arts, specifically White Magic and Summoning Magic. They are able to learn just as much White Magic as a White Mage, but unlike a White Mage - they are also capable of dipping into the Arcane. As a result, they therefore have great synergy with Eidolons. Scholars have made a singular contract to a particular Eidolon, but as a result of this contract are unable to summon any other Eidolon and are bound to that particular one. Rather than focusing on collecting many summons, a Scholar focuses upon powering a single Eidolon up as much as possible compared to the normal variant.

Scholar(Job) - A Scholar is able to choose a single C/B rank Summon of their choice, and make a contract with it. They gain this Summon at no cost, and it becomes their permanent, personalized Summon. This summon costs 5 MP less to summon than normal, as well. Scholars have access to all White Magic, and up to C rank Arcane Magic. Scholar can not be combined with Summoner in any way.

Note: The chosen Eidolon does not have access to its Overdrive ability.


Self Refinement Tree -

Physical Eidolon Empowerment (T2) - A Scholar with this feature gains half its Eidolon's Physical Attack Bonus to hit on all physical attacks rolls (rounded up). This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Magical Eidolon Empowerment (T2) - A Scholar with this features gains half its Eidolon's Magical Attack Bonus to hit on all magical attack rolls (rounded up). This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Defensive Eidolon Empowerment (T2) - A Scholar with this feature gains its Eidolon's Damage Reduction, and +1 AC. This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Elemental Eidolon Empowerment Defensive (T3) - A Scholar with this feature gains resistance to its Eidolon's primary elemental affinity.

Elemental Eidolon Empowerment Offensive (T4) - A Scholar with this feature gains +1d8 damage of its Eidolon's primary elemental affinity to all non-elemental Magic attacks, as well as all Physical attacks.

True Elemental Empowerment (T5) [Unique]  - A Scholar with this feature now has 'Absorption' for its Eidolon's primary elemental affinity, healing for half of the total elemental damage dealt instead of halving it - whilst reducing the remaining damage dealt to them to 0.



Contract Empowerment Tree -

Shared Precision (T2) - A Scholar with this feature grants its Eidolon half of any Attack Roll bonuses, rounded up - that they personally have access to. This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Shared Defense (T2) - A Scholar with this feature grants its Eidolon 1/4 of their base AC, rounded up - that they personally have access to. This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Shared Power (T2) - A Scholar with this feature grants its Eidolon half of any damage bonuses, rounded up - that they personally have access to. This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Shared Fortitude (T2) - A Scholar with this feature grants its Eidolon half of any damage reduction bonuses, rounded up - that they personally have access to. This is flat, and applied only using the current values upon attaining this perk.

Refined Fortitude (T3) - A Scholar with this feature doubles its Eidolon's base HP.

Refined Mana Pool (T3) - A Scholar with this feature doubles its Eidolon's base MP pool.

Deepened Connection (T3) - A Scholar with this feature reduces its Eidolon's summoning cost by an extra 15 MP.

Eidolon Siphon (T4) - A Scholar with this feature gains MP equal to half of the damage its Eidolon deals whenever it deals damage to a target.

Ultimate Connection (T4) (Semi-Unique)- A Scholar with this feature increases its Eidolon's base HP by 100, and its MP by 100. It also gains +2 to both Physical and Magical attack bonus, 5 flat damage reduction, and +2 to AC. (Requires Refined Fortitude, Refined Mana Pool, and Deepened Connection.)

If a Scholar's Summon is reduced to 0 HP, it is dismissed - and it is then granted a 4 turn cooldown before it can be summoned again.
