When creating a character at first, there are three steps you must take.
Before starting a character it is a good idea to read through the forums. There is plenty of information about the world, system of progress, and combat that should be learned before entering the game. The most important of which is probably the combat guides which can be found here. crystalsagas.freeforums.net/board/5/combat . You are going to need to understand the system of combat when you make your character, because you will want to know what skills are important, and how they will play into the flow of combat.
1.Determine and pick Starting Job, which is free.

2,Determine your race

3. Determine and pick your 3 Equip Type Slots.
[See equipment guide.]
4. Distribute your starting progress points to buy perks, and abilities. You will be following the guidelines of a fledgling character which limits you to.
Unlimited T1s, 2 T2s. C Ranks, but nothing higher.
5. (Optional) Write up your Character Profile, ingame.
Starting characters are Fledgling rank, and have 24 points.
Each character is assumed to start with a Bronze level weapon of their choice, but can not start with armor of any type irregardless of what chosen type slots are.
[See equipment guide.]
Put all of this information in a pastebin, and GM Help it to an admin in-game to receive your set-up. In the starting area there is a barber, and a shopkeep who you can buy clothes from.
Now you created your character? What is next. How will you progress them in the future. Progression is a very important factor in developing your character as the game continues. All progression will be done by earning and spending RP points on your character. RP points are rewarded weekly by admins, and the amount is determined by how impact full your character has been in the world. Meaning that if your character has gone through a lot of progression during the week they will be rewarded more generously. The best way to keep track of your progress is by noting it in your progress log. The progress log can be accessed through a button on the bottom right of the game screen. Once open you can fill out a form that will be viewed by Admins when giving out reward. You will want to put any significant events your character took part in. The logs don't need to be long you want to cut it down to the bare minimum as possible. For example: "X character went on a trip with characters Y and Z. They went down to the market, and had lunch. It made character X feel less lonely."
