What started as a garden for mercenaries, soon exploded into a massive, and ruthless nation.
Akademia is known for its ruthlessness. Formed three hundred years ago as a school for mercenaries, it soon came to be employed by most nations for special operations missions. Within the span of a hundred years, Akademia had gained enough funding to build a full city around itself - and it only continued to expand from there. Once it had become a city state, its first dictator forced her way into power. The head mistress of the Akademia School for Mercenaries, no less. She was given the order to do so by the crystal that Akademia had somehow gotten their paws on. From that day, the ruthless nation of Akademia began conquest after conquest - slaughtering all that opposed them, and showing little mercy. Each Head Master after the previous is also taken under direct control by the Crystal, and given a Focus. Akademia has been quiet in recent years, seemingly at a size that expansion becomes difficult. But that does not make them any less wary of Midgar, or Insomnia after the destruction of the once impregnable Arcadia. The one place Akademia knew they could never have gotten into.
