So you're not a Dragoon.
Unfortunate.
If you are not a Dragoon, or you simply do not have the 'Jump' Ability - when you Jump in character, your jumps only amount to what a real life person is capable of. And not a HIGH tier real life person, like Michael Jordan. You're getting five feet of clearance at most.
Dragoon on the other hand, jumps with the help of magic.
Dragoons have a base tile jump height of 2.
Dragoon abilities may increase this jump height depending on the ability used, additively.
Dragoons are immune to fall damage entirely.
Airship Altitude
In combat, Airships have a set altitude, depending on their parts. Without any specific modifications, an Airship is considered to be 10 tiles above the battle-field during combat.
And yes, Kaiju sized monsters will have a set and determined IC height on the bestiary. So if you wanna jump on the Hydra's back, you can.
Fall Damage
Knock-Up effect:
When Knock-up is applied, a character is sent airborn by an amount of tiles specified in the ability applying Knock-up. Irregardless of elevation, a character remains airborne after knock-up on their next turn. When a character lands, unless they have a perk that negates fall damage ; if they are at minimum fall damage elevation, they take fall damage.
A character may choose to fall faster, by spending their bonus action, movement action, and 10 SP in order to land immediately on their turn - fall damage will still apply, but be reduced by a flat 10 if this is done.
If a Knock-up effect is applied to a character before their turn is initiated, and they are still airborne from a previous knock-up - that character's airborne duration is refreshed, and in addition their tile elevation is increased by the amount specified in the knock-up, additively.
----------------------
Fall Damage:
Minimum Fall Damage elevation : 5 tiles.
Base Fall Damage: 20 Damage.
Fall Damage addition: +10 per tile above 5.
Fall Damage may not be reduced by global damage reduction, only perks and effects that specifically say they interact with it in some way.
